This mother and daughter
team called Shirae has a great harmony as they spin through the songs on their first CD.
There are a number of songs on this CD but in particular I liked " River " and "September"
and how the songs are arranged. As you listen time and time again you will find a melody
link from beginning to the end. Below are a few samples to introduce you to this new Irish Dio.
I'm sure you will enjoy them in a live performance but until then be sure to order their CD.
Hello, Just wanted
to let you know that I caught your CD release party by chance... I'm so very glad I did.
I enjoyed the show so much that I bought the CD. I am very impressed by the musicianship
and the tight harmony lines. "Dancer in the Dance" and "River" are my personal favorites, plus
the "Will Ye Go Lassie Go" reference in "September" was brilliant. Best of Luck with your
music! I hope to see you again in the area!

Check out "Granny"
about a granny going off to town and tipping a few. My family loves the whole album.

"Granny" stands out
as one of my favorite cuts. It is well written and lots of fun to listen to. I especially
liked the way it created a visual picture of an old woman putting them back at the pub!!
What a great way to start the CD. (I'm thinking about adding this to WorldZoneXM100).
I also liked the "Silent People". It actually inspired me to research the history of one
of my favorite childhood games. (I always thought Ring around the Rosie was such a happy
game, go figure!!) I liked the "Sorry Flowers" concept, the song itself was too hard for my
tastes, at times it really jolted me out of this wonderful relaxed space created by the
previous tracks.

Shirae... sing
contemporary and traditional songs rich with the images of Ireland's people, history and
culture. Growing up in Munster, O'Flynn heard and learned the Sean Nos tradition which so
richly informs her songwriting today. A typical Shirae performance will include not only
songs from the Sean Nos and recent Irish tradition but original songs from O'Flynn and some
of America's most well known songwriters. A show not to be missed for all who love Irish music!
